Zarautz beach, 'the Queen of Beaches'

When we organize our trips in summer, one of the things that motivates us the most is that the destination has a nice beach. It doesn't hurt to imagine a few days listening to the breeze and the noise of the waves to disconnect from everything. And in Zarautz you can enjoy a good beach, 'The Queen of Beaches', framed by a beautiful boardwalk full of cafes and restaurants.
The people of Zarautz cannot imagine this town without the wonderful longest beach on the Basque coast, more than 2 km long and surrounded by an unparalleled environment.
It is divided into several areas, to enjoy with the family, for surfing and in the area further east is the protected Biotope 'Inurritza' with the largest set of dunes in the Basque Country and the best preserved where numerous species of Flora and fauna.
The best time to visit is in summer because the weather is much more inviting and the sea looks beautiful under an intense blue sky. But any other time of the year is also good to take a walk and contemplate the strong waves on spring tidal days.
The waves of this beach are known throughout the world, so many surfers come here to check it out and enjoy them. And many compete in the championships that are organized in the month of September.
The truth is that Surfing is in fashion, many children want to get started in this sport and this beach is perfect for it, with several Surf schools to learn it.
